Hello everybody and welcome to our blog!
For those of you who I haven't spoken to for a while, the big news is that the kids and I left Iceland on 16th August and moved back to England for a year as I am about to begin a masters degree (M.Ed) in Arts Education at the University of Exeter.
After a leisurely drive down from Scotland where we stayed a couple of days with my friend Eydis (Freyja's former class teacher from Seydisfjordur who now lives there) we went to my sister's in Nottingham and from there to a farm in Devon. Joi flew out to join us on 14th September and we have now moved into University accommodation, a small flat on campus in a complex for students with families and with fantastic views over Exeter and the surrounding countryside. Freyja and Thomas are settling well in to a local school where they seem to spend a lot of time answering questions about snow! My course hasn't started yet but I am due to meet my fellow postgraduate students for the first time tonight, so expect a bulletin tomorrow...
