Golden Nuggets

  • November 14th 2008: So today the school called me in about Thomas. His teacher is having problems getting through to him. ´He seems to think he´s Harry Potter´she said. Thomas studied her for a while and then said ´No, he´s a character played by Daniel Radcliffe´.
  • November 11th 2008: Thomas was complaining about school being boring today, especially maths. At the moment he thinks he is Harry Potter so I asked him if he thought he´d be more interested if for example they had to do sums with a box full of golden snitches instead of numbers written on a page. ´No point´he said. ´The answer would always be zero cuz as soon as you open the box they all fly out.´
  • October 11th 2008: Made sushi for tea and also put out some prawn crackers that needed finishing - having mixed Japanese and Chinese food together, I asked the kids if they could spot the mistake at the table. Freyja said ´Thomas´. Ouch!
  • October 10th 2008: Today Thomas asked me if he could have a glass of water, a piece of cardboard and some baking powder, as he needed to make a trombone...
